About the event
Working with Canadian Indigenous Populations with Dr. Anthony de Padua!
Dr. Anthony de Padua is a PhD prepared registered Nurse in Saskatchewan with over 25 years of nursing experience. His clinical background is in medical/surgical, ICU/CCU, and community health nursing. He is an Assistant Professor at the College of Nursing, University of Saskatchewan, and has been involved in nursing education since 2003. Prior to his work at the University of Saskatchewan, he was the Department Head of Indigenous Health, Education, and Social Work at First Nations University of Cananda. He is an active researcher and has been successful with CIHR, SSHRC, and SHRF agencies. His areas of research are in HIV/AIDS, homelessness, Indigenous health, and addictions. When he is not at work, he enjoys spending time with his family and pursuing outdoor activities in Saskatchewan
